Lost In Translation

Very good film. I really enjoyed it. I don't know if it was just me but I felt the whole film had these greenish/yellowish tint to it. I really though it worked for Tokyo and the fast paced society that it is. I really enjoyed the scenes of comedy. One of my favorite is when Bill gets stuck on the stair master thing. It was a good love story, done in a suttle way. Everything about this film to me was suttle which built the over all feel of the film. The comedy is suttle, the sexual tension, the drama. I love this whole film and the combination of the two main characters to me is perfect. I would recommend this film to anyone.

The scenes do a good job of securing Bills character as a man in a mid life crisis, just looking for something, after he has experience essentially what life is. Then we have this girl, newly married who wants something more before she has even experienced it all. Together there stories and lifestyle match perfectly and tie in well.

Easy Rider

I don't know if I liked it or I didn't. I believe the artistic style stuff didn't really didn't accomplish anything, however I like the idea behind the story just not how it was told, or parts of it.I felt there were to many driving montages with classic rock. However I like the characters and there actions.

To Me the movie said that no one gets it easy. We saw these people who represented freedom and were freedom yet they weren't free. Not free from society's standard ways and practices. They chose to be rebels and payed for it. But on the opposite side we see these normal folks who hate the hippies. Yet they aren't free they are stuck just like the hippies. They are all stuck on this ride and every ones trying to make it easier. That to me was what the movie was about aside from all the pro peace and rebellion stuff. Good story, Good lessons, Horrible horrible decision editing and production wise. I wanna give it a 9 but play it safe like the townsfolk and go with a 7.
